At Harwood Farms, our volunteer board is here to ensure our neighborhood remains a place we can all be proud to call home. With diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives, we work together to thoughtfully manage community resources, always striving to use them wisely for the benefit of every resident. We care deeply about preserving the beauty and character of our neighborhood while prioritizing safety and comfort. Whether you’re enjoying a peaceful walk or arriving home after a long day, we want you to feel a sense of pride and belonging every time you enter our community.
President
Bill Hammond
Bill moved from New Jersey to Harwood Farms in October 2019 with his wife, Penny, and daughter, Emily, to be near his son, Eric and family. Bill is a retired chemist who enjoys meeting people, working with his church, walking and woodworking. As a board member he hopes to encourage a greater sense of community at Harwood farms.
Secretary
Chris Hall
Chris has lived in Harwood Farms since 2006. He and his wife, Karen, have raised 5 children in the neighborhood, with two still living at home with them. His kids remember playing in the giant hole and small mountain in the common areas during construction of the neighborhood. Chris works from home as a consultant, and Karen works at Huron Valley Catholic School in Ypsilanti. Karen's mother and sister's family live in Warner Creek, right next to Harwood.
Sidnei Oliveira
Treasurer
Sidnei has called Harwood Farms home since August 2014, after spending two years in Ann Arbor. He has been a Mechanical Engineer with Tecumseh Products since 2002, beginning his career with the company in Brazil. In 2012, Sidnei embraced an opportunity to relocate to Michigan when Tecumseh Products offered him a position in the United States. Since then, he has spent nearly 13 years enjoying the charm of Michigan’s winters.
When he’s not working, Sidnei can often be found cooking, biking, or perfecting his barbecue skills—pursuits he’s truly passionate about.
